The sky's the limit
Lone Tree city officials and Sky Ridge Medical Center medical staff said the latest expansion at the facility will bring additional services, as well as hundreds of new jobs by late 2014.
The $117 million project will expand the center’s operating area, add a women’s center, 90 beds, and construct a medical office building and parking garage. The center’s neonatal intensive care unit will also be enlarged, with more labor, delivery and post-partum rooms.
Construction is expected to add about 400 jobs, officials said, and on completion, the expansion will bring more than 350 jobs to south suburban Denver‘s economy.
Maureen Tarrant, SkyRidge’s chief executive officer, said the medical center’s jobs pay an average of $33 an hour.
