Evogene building biotech jobs in St. Louis
ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Israeli biotech firm Evogene is opening a research and development facility in St. Louis. The company is investing $10 million in the 6,000-square-foot project, which will be located at Bio-Research & Development Growth (BRDG) Park.
A long time partner with Monsanto, Evogene officials say the company is opening an R&D facility in St. Louis to expand the capabilities of the firm’s discovery and validation processes. Focusing on the Evogene’s insect control work, the facility is expected to be fully operational by the end of the year.
Though no hiring plans were announced, Evogene could receive over $200,000 in incentives from the Missouri Works program if it meets state job creation criteria.
