John Parker is an award-winning writer whose career has led him to telling tales in locales as diverse as Oklahoma, St. Kitts-Nevis (a great place to vacation!) in the West Indies and the beautiful mountains, forests and innovation-rich environment of greater Seattle. He was an assistant city editor and reporter for 13 years at The Oklahoman, the state’s largest newspaper. His corporate experience includes copy editing for Russell Investments in Tacoma, Wash., and working on direct-mail solicitation letters for Globe Life Insurance. He’s accomplished in magazine writing and is a former stringer for Reuters and Court TV (now truTV). He and his wife, Kevan, enjoy their work as staff for their three rescue cats and living in booming Oklahoma City. Their son, Danniel, is also an accomplished young writer.
